North park offers a bevy involving interesting hikes. With the normal home price being close to $500, 000, they better be interesting!
To rest, I typically stop about my way home coming from work to hike coming from Cardiff to Carlsbad about the beach. For picturesque sunsets and "tasty waves", the beach between Cardiff to Carlsbad cannot be beat.
Cardiff - Beginning
I typically start that hike by parking simply south of restaurant line in Cardiff. Restaurant row is found to the north in the lagoon between Cardiff and Solana Beach on Interstate 101. Parking is on the side of the route, which is right facing the beach. Give me personally convenience or give me personally death!
As you head north, you first pass Charlie's along with other restaurants. Past the eating places, you will come to the start of the bluffs that can line the beach on the end of the backpack. San Elijo campground is on top of the initial bluffs and extends for roughly a new mile north. The campground is extremely popular and the temporary home of locals and tourist. You can explain to the difference by in contrast to tans with sunburns.
Pursuing San Elijo, you can walk through Sea High cliff County Park with bluffs around 100 feet high. A location known affectionately as "Swami's" swiftly follows this park. The name derives in the fact the area above the bluff is the home to the Personal Realization Fellowship Center. That area is know while hot surf spot, but is extremely crowded. If you can be a bit winded, you can stop and watch 50 or so people maneuver for waves. Indeed, traffic jams aren't exclusively restricted to California freeways.
North involving Swami's, you will cruise along a protracted strip of sand hemmed with by 50 to 60 foot bluffs inside the town of Encinitas. For those with a wicked spontaneity, there is a fairly popular game called, "Watch your home fall. " Yes, the bluffs are giving away slowly. As they erode, this homes first lose facilities, then patios and so on. They say real estate is all about location, location, location, but sometimes a beachfront home isn't all of which great.
The Encinitas area of the hike is pretty long. With the higher bluffs, you will find sections of the beach that usually are deserted. Yes, even while in summer. The only thing ending it the solitude is Moonlight Beach, a fairly popular beach with locals. Otherwise, it is just you, shells and joggers until you arrive towards the end of the bluffs and South Carlsbad. Time to turn around and find the auto.
The Cardiff to South Carlsbad hike is approximately 5 miles in each and every direction. The walk is usually flat and quick. From the end, you will be peaceful and forget that Bert in accounting is often a jerk. Enjoy.
